The feast of Saint Francis of Assisi will take place on Monday, October 5th, at the picturesque chapel of the remote settlement.

The abandoned and remote village of Koris Pyrgos, located at an altitude of 450 meters above Aetofolia in Tinos, is expected to gather visitors once again for the annual feast of Saint Francis. The religious event is scheduled for Monday, October 5th at 6:00 PM at the local chapel.

Although the memory of Saint Francis of Assisi is officially observed on October 4th, the celebration was moved to Monday as the official date fell on a Sunday. Access to the settlement, which historically lacked electricity and basic infrastructure, is via the road of Aetofolia on the outer side of the island.

At the same time, as part of the Catholic celebrations of October in Tinos, a Pontifical Holy Mass will be held on Sunday, October 4th at 6:00 PM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Xinara, which will be repeated on Wednesday, October 7th at the same time.
